Akshay Kumar is going to set a new record by releasing 6 movies in just 10 months. With the release of Special Chabbis  on February 2013 he is going to hold a rare record in Indian cinema. Starting with Houseful 2 in April 2012 he has released Rowdy Rathore (June), Joker (August), OMG Oh My God (September) and Khiladi 786 (December).

We have seen superstars in 70s and 80s releasing multiple films same time but to a maximum of three movies. At that time there was no completion between Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan’s movies releasing at the same time but there was completion between Rajesh Khana movies vs Rajesh Khana movies releasing on the same date.  Rajesh Khana has 10 releases in 1971 and yes another 10 releases in 1972. So Akshay’s record does not stands out in front of his own

father in law. But don’t worry guys Akshay already broken his late father in law’s record 18 years back in 1994, he had an amazing 11 releases in a single year with Elaan, Yeh Dillagi, Jai Kishan, Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Ikke Pe Ikka, Amaanat, Suhaag, Zakhmi Dil, Zaalim and Hum Hain Bemisaal releasing month after month. This record seems impossible to be broken by Amir Khan as he is releasing one movie in 3 years. Akshay also holds a unbeatable record of generating 400 crores (from 5 movie) in one year.
